Local SEO Services That Get Your Phone Ringing
We get local businesses found on Google, in the map pack, and in AI answers, then track it through to booked work rather than clicks.

AM Creative Marketing is a local SEO company in Amesbury, Massachusetts, founded by Jon Almas in 2016. It provides local SEO services to home service contractors, builders and remodelers, trades and local businesses across New England and the rest of the US. The work covers the Google Business Profile, service and town pages, reviews, citations and links, technical fixes and AI search optimization, tracked through AM Connect so every inquiry carries its source. Plans are month to month, and clients own everything built. One general contractor went from 10 to 58 monthly Google clicks in its first six months.
Our work covers four areas that search engines weigh together: content built around what local customers actually search, authority from reviews, citations, and links, technical health like speed and structure, and user experience signals from real visitors. We also optimize for AI answers, so your business gets cited in Google AI Overviews and assistant responses rather than only in blue links.
Most businesses see meaningful movement in local rankings within three to six months. Plans are month to month with no long contracts, and you own your website, content, and accounts from day one. Reporting is written in plain English and tied to calls and booked jobs.
What Makes This Different
Local SEO That Connects to Real Business Results
If you've tried SEO before and didn't see the results you expected, you're not alone. Here's what working with us actually looks like:
Reporting You Can Actually Use
No more monthly PDFs full of charts that don't mean anything. You'll see exactly what's working, what's not, and how it connects to your bottom line.
Traffic From Your Service Area
Not visits from across the country or rankings for keywords nobody searches. Local customers in your area, actively looking for what you do.
Clear Connection to Revenue
No more wondering if SEO is actually doing anything. You'll know exactly what you're getting for your investment, tied directly to leads, calls, and booked jobs.
The difference comes down to approach. Generic SEO doesn't work for local service businesses. Your customers search differently. Google ranks local businesses differently. And now, with AI search changing everything, the strategy needs to evolve again.

Our Approach
What does local SEO actually involve?
Search visibility isn't just about keywords anymore. Modern local SEO requires a holistic approach, multiple signals working together, so Google (and AI systems) trust that you're the right answer.
The Four Pillars of Search Visibility
Google's algorithm looks at hundreds of signals. They all fall into four categories. We address all four because the algorithm does.
Content
Pages targeting what local customers actually search for, with depth and relevance that signals expertise.
Authority
Trust signals from reviews, citations, links, and mentions that prove you're established and legitimate, including the social profiles Google reads alongside your site.
Technicals
Site speed, mobile experience, proper structure, and schema markup that lets search engines understand your business. Handled as part of how we build sites.
User Experience
Real signals from real visitors, time on site, engagement, conversions, that prove your site deserves to rank.
How does Google decide who shows up in the map pack?
Local search has its own rules. When someone searches "electrician near me" or "cabinet maker in Newburyport," Google weighs three specific factors to decide who shows up.
Proximity
How close are you? We expand your signal radius beyond your physical location.
Prominence
How well-known are you? Reviews, citations, and authority signals prove establishment.
Relevance
Does Google understand what you do and where? Content and profile optimization matter.
A duct and dryer vent cleaning company in Salisbury, MA pointed its Google Business Profile at its Salisbury town page in May 2026.
How do you get a business to show up in AI answers?
More people are getting answers from AI, Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, voice assistants, instead of clicking through search results. A homeowner now asks "who is the best rated electrician near me" and reads one answer rather than comparing ten links. We build AI visibility into everything we do, and where a business wants that work pushed further, AI search optimization runs as its own track alongside the local SEO program.
Structured data and FAQ markup so AI can cite your business accurately
Building presence across the data sources that different AI systems pull from
Content written as questions and direct answers, the format AI systems retrieve from
Tracking which AI platforms mention you, and what they say when they do
Traditional Search
Google, Bing results pages
Local Map Pack
Google Maps, "near me" results
AI Overviews
Google's AI-generated answers
AI Assistants
ChatGPT, voice search, conversational AI
How It Works
How the work actually runs
Local SEO fails more often from bad order than from bad tactics. Here is the order we work in and why each piece comes when it does.
Find the starting point
What you rank for now, what your Google Business Profile is missing, the technical problems slowing the site down, and what competitors in your area are doing that you are not. Nothing gets changed before we know the baseline.
Comes firstFix the foundation
Speed, structure, schema, and mobile experience come before new content, because pages on a site Google struggles to read do not earn much. Your profile, and the business details carrying your name, address, and phone across the web, get cleaned up in the same stretch.
EarlyBuild the pages that rank
Service pages and town pages written around what people near you actually type, in the question and answer format both search engines and AI systems pull from. This is the part that keeps paying after it is built.
ThenMeasure against calls
Rankings, calls, and form fills tracked together, so you can see which page produced which lead. Where a number is flat we say so and change the approach instead of repeating the same work and reporting effort.
OngoingWhat we do not do is promise a position. Nobody controls Google's ranking order, and an agency that guarantees a number is usually either buying it with paid ads or picking search terms nobody uses. What we commit to is the work above, in that order, reported against calls and booked jobs.
Industry Focus
Who this work is built for
The discipline is the same everywhere. The search terms, the seasons, and the competition are not. These pages go deeper on how local SEO runs in each trade.
SEO for HVAC Companies
Heating and cooling searches spike with the weather, and whoever holds the map pack on the first cold morning takes the calls. Service pages, town pages, and a profile built for the way people search when something has stopped working.
See HVAC marketingSEO for Construction Companies
Longer decisions and bigger job values, so the search terms run from early research through ready to hire. Project pages, service pages, and service area coverage carry most of the weight for remodelers and builders.
See construction and remodeling marketingSEO for Home Service Trades
Plumbing, electrical, cleaning, landscaping, pest control, and the local shops and practices that sell to people within a short drive. Profile, reviews, and location pages do most of the ranking work here.
See local business marketingNot sure whether SEO is the right first move? The strategy builder walks through where it sits against ads, the website, and follow-up, and takes a few minutes.
Real Results
What results do local SEO clients actually see?
Four clients in four trades, each measured on what mattered most for that business, with the dates and sources attached. None of them started anywhere near page one.
Inquiries are logged inquiries, not signed jobs, and the only revenue figure is what the client reported. Each chart uses its own scale. Market, competition and starting point all change the pace.

FAQ
Local SEO questions, answered
What are local SEO services?
Local SEO is the work of getting your business to show up when someone nearby searches for what you do. It is different from regular SEO because the map pack, not the blue links, is where most local searches end.
In practice it covers your Google Business Profile, getting your name, address, and phone consistent across directories, earning reviews steadily, building pages for the services and towns you actually serve, and fixing the technical issues that keep Google from reading your site properly.
What does a local SEO company actually do each month?
It keeps the signals Google uses for local rankings moving in the right direction and reports what they produced. For AM Creative Marketing that means managing the Google Business Profile, publishing service and town pages, earning reviews and local links, fixing technical issues, and tracking which searches, pages and AI answers turn into calls.
The mix changes with the data. A month might lean on authority for one page that is close to page one, or on a town page for an area where calls are thin. Reporting explains what was done and why.
How much do local SEO services cost?
What moves the number is how competitive your service is, how many towns need their own pages, the condition of the site you are starting from, and how many separate services need their own keyword work. A business in a crowded market with a site that needs rebuilding costs more to move than one that is already close.
We sell one program rather than a ladder of partial ones. The smaller packages we used to offer were enough to look like progress on an invoice and not enough to move a business in a competitive market. Current numbers are on our pricing page. There is no long contract, and if you run paid ads alongside it, the ad spend stays separate and unmarked up.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Most businesses see real movement in map rankings and organic traffic within three to six months, with the bigger gains landing somewhere between six and twelve.
The order tends to be predictable. Profile and technical fixes register in weeks. Impressions climb before clicks do. The towns closest to you move first and the outer edges of your service area come last. If you need calls sooner than that, paid ads fill the gap while the organic work matures.
What is the difference between SEO and local SEO?
Regular SEO tries to rank a page nationally. Local SEO tries to rank your business for people in a specific geographic area, and Google uses a different set of signals to decide that.
The practical difference is where the work goes. National SEO leans heavily on content volume and backlinks. Local SEO leans on your Google Business Profile, review velocity, citation consistency, and proximity to the searcher. A business with fewer backlinks can outrank a bigger competitor locally by getting those right.
Is SEO still worth it now that AI answers questions directly?
Yes, but what you are optimizing for has widened. AI systems have to pull their answers from somewhere, and that somewhere is the same content, reviews, and citations that traditional search reads.
What changes is format. AI retrieves in chunks, so pages built as clear questions with direct answers underneath get picked up far more than pages written as one long block. Structured data helps a machine describe your business accurately. And because AI leans hard on third-party signals, review volume and consistent business details across the web matter more than they used to, not less.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Nobody outside Google controls the ranking order, and Google's own guidelines say no one can promise a position.
When an agency does guarantee number one, it is usually one of two tricks: counting a paid ad as a ranking, or picking a search term so specific that almost nobody types it. The promise gets kept and the phone stays quiet. What we will tell you before you sign anything is whether the terms you care about look winnable from where you stand, how entrenched the businesses above you are, and roughly what it would take. If the honest answer is that paid ads are the better use of your money right now, we say that.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No. It runs month to month after setup, with no long-term contract.
What we do ask for is a mental commitment of several months. The work compounds, so judging it at day thirty says almost nothing about whether it is working. You also own everything from day one: the domain, the website, the content, the ad accounts, the reviews, and the data. If you leave, all of it goes with you.
Do you only work with businesses near you?
No. We are based in Amesbury, Massachusetts, and we work with local businesses across the country.
Local search behaves the same way everywhere. If your customers come from within an hour of your door, the work is the same whether you are in Massachusetts or Missouri. The town names change and the seasonality shifts. Working with us from out of state means video calls instead of a visit to your shop, and everything else runs identically.
How will I know the SEO is working?
You get reporting with written analysis in plain English, not a dashboard link and a shrug, plus standing access to the dashboard so you can check any day without waiting on us.
We report on calls, form fills, and booked jobs and appointments first. Rankings and traffic appear underneath those, tied to what they produced. When we say a page moved from position eleven to four, we also say how many calls it brought in. If a number is flat, we say that too and explain what we are changing.
